Fort Wilderness Campsites
Some helpful tips about the campsites at Fort Wilderness
Tent / Pop-Up Sites
The Tent/Pop-Up sites (loops 1500 and 2000) are typically 10‘ x 25’ and are partially concrete with the back half a sandy area. These sites have power and water hookup, but DO NOT have sewer hookups. Fort Wilderness limits the size of campers on the site to 26’ or less.
Full Hookup Sites
A Full Hookup site (loops 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900) is the next size up from the Pop-Up/Tent sites. They are very similar to the larger Preferred Campsites in that they are full hook up (cable, water, sewer, power). These Full Hookup sites are approximately 10’ wide by up to 50’ long. The rear 15’ of the campsite is gravel, for those that also want to pitch a tent. These sites will accommodate larger style campers. However, these sites are slightly farther away from the Marina and Meadows.
Preferred Sites
A Preferred Hookup site (loops 100, 200, and 300) is the next upgrade from the Full Hookup sites. In comparison, the Preferred sites are slightly larger at 12’ by up to 45’ with most of the sites having the rear 15’ a sandy or gravel area. All Preferred sites also have water, power, cable and sewer hookups. Location is the key here as they are located within a very short walk to the Marina and Settlement area. These sites will accommodate a larger style camper as well.
Premium & Premium Meadows Sites
Premium sites (loops 400, 500, 700, 1100, 1200, and 1300) and Premium Meadows (loops 600, 800, 900, 1000, and 1400) tend to be a good deal larger than any others, and were designed to better accommodate the larger motorhomes and fifth wheel campers (the Big Rigs). These sites are typically 18’ by 60’, with a larger concrete pad. They offer more width for campers with multiple slide-outs as well as space to sit outside next to your camper. They also have all of the desired hookups (power, water, sewage, cable) and are known to receive a better Wi-Fi signal.
The Premium Meadows sites, which are slightly more expensive, are closest to the Meadows area (pool, campfire show, trading post, etc.).
